A Message From The
Youth Pastor:
Hello!
Whether you’re a student, parent, or visitor I want
to welcome you to
Chapel! I am blessed that you’ve stopped
by to get to know us and I am
confident that you will find
all you’re looking for here at Chapel online.
As a Youth Pastor,
it is my greatest de sire to see young people raised up in
the things of God. I have had the honor of being a part of
students changing their lives through the power of Jesus as
they receive His mercy and grace. It is an amazing thing to
watch young people come from dark circumstances and step into
the marvelous light that is found in relationship with their
Savior, Jesus. Then, as they begin to adjust to the light,
their eyes are focused on the ways of the Lord and they are
uplifted by His arms of strength.
It still amazes
me how they then, go back to the place of despair, only to
find their friends and loved ones and single handedly walk
them through the darkness and invite them into the light that
had saved them only weeks before. Joy fills my heart and tears
fill my eyes as I think about them even now, being burdened
for their generation and believing that God would use them
to change this dark world.
I have been a Christian for most
of my life but I have never been more in love with Jesus and
this generation than I am now. I truly believe that God wants
to use us as tools in bringing joy, peace, and love to His
people. This generation of young people is unlike any other
generation that had gone before us.
We are a passionate, zealous,
risk taking and burdened people that are desperate to live
a life that has meaning. Some of us find that path in politics,
in rebellion or in avenues that lead to nowhere. I believe
that as we walk in the path of taking up our cross and following
the greatest revolutionary of all time, we will fulfill the purposes that God has for each of us.
Chapel is Church. We don’t patronize young people with
games, pizza parties and lazer tag, but we come together on
Wednesdays in passionate worship, relevant teaching and genuine
community. We love God. We love people. We hate sin. And, we
are crazy enough to believe that God want s to use us to change
the world.
I pray that wherever you find yourself in life, you will be
found in the arms of God. I encourage you to visit us and expect
your life to be radically changed.
See you Wednesday at 7!
